Privacy Policy

The short version. If you give us your email address, we use it to talk to you about ReferPush and nothing else. We don’t sell it, we don’t rent it, and we don’t hand it to advertisers. This website runs no analytics and no advertising trackers of any kind.
Who we are
ReferPush is referral tracking software for home-services contractors, operated from Georgia, United States. You can reach a human at admin@referpush.com, and that address is read by the person who runs it.
This policy covers two different things, and it is worth keeping them apart: this website at referpush.com, and the ReferPush application at app.referpush.com that contractors log into.
This website
The signup form
If you enter your email address to get started, we store that address and use it to contact you about ReferPush. That is the only thing we do with it. We do not add you to a general mailing list, we do not pass it to anyone else, and you can have it removed at any time by emailing us.
Server logs
Like effectively every website, our web host records ordinary access logs — the IP address a request came from, the time, the page requested and the browser used. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Cookies
WordPress and the plugins that run this site set a small number of technical cookies, mainly to make forms work and to serve cached pages quickly. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels on this website. We are not running Google Analytics, a Meta pixel, or anything comparable. If that ever changes, this policy will change first.
The ReferPush application
The application is used by contractors to track referrals from their own customers. That creates two different relationships, and it matters which one you are in.
If you are a contractor using ReferPush
We hold your business details, your login, and the referral records your business creates. We use them to provide the service, to support you when you ask, and to keep the platform secure. Passwords are stored only as a scrambled hash — nobody at ReferPush can read your password, including when we are helping you recover it.
If your details are in a contractor’s ReferPush account
If you are a customer of a business that uses ReferPush, that business decides what to collect about you and why. Your relationship is with them, not with us — we hold and process that information on their behalf and under their instructions. If you want your details corrected or removed, contact the contractor directly. If you cannot reach them, email us and we will help you get to the right place.
Text messages and mobile information
Text messaging is part of how ReferPush works, so this section is deliberately specific.
We only text people who agreed to be texted. A message is sent only where someone has ticked a consent box themselves, and we keep a dated record of when they did it. Consent to hear about a job is kept separate from consent to receive marketing, and declining one never costs you the other.
We do not text the person a customer refers. When somebody refers a friend, that friend has not agreed to hear from anybody, so no message is sent to them by us. The referring customer shares a link from their own phone, or passes the contractor a number so a human can call.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or rent phone numbers. Numbers are shared only with the service providers who deliver the messages, and only so they can do that.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Opt-outs are honoured immediately and permanently. Reply HELP, or email admin@referpush.com, for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers, each doing one job:
- Web hosting for this website, and application hosting and a database for the app.
- Email delivery, for things like password reset links.
- Text message delivery, once texting is switched on for a business.
- Reward payouts, once automated payouts are switched on. Rewards are currently sent by hand.
Each of them receives only what they need to perform that task, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep things
Email addresses from the signup form are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until we have no further reason to hold them. Contractor account and referral data is kept for as long as the account is open, and removed on request after it closes. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.
Your choices
Email admin@referpush.com and you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. We will not make you jump through hoops, and we will not charge you. If your information sits inside a contractor’s account, we will point you to them and help if they are unresponsive.
Children
ReferPush is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and, where the change is significant and we hold your email address, tell you about it directly.
